# Roles

> How VOS roles work and how to switch between them.

The sidebar and pages change with the **active role** on your identity card. The tabs on this site use the same role names as the app.

## Switch roles

    In the left sidebar, find the card with your name and current role.

  <Step title="Pick another role">
    If you have more than one role, click the card and choose the role you need. VOS returns you to Home with that role active.

  <Step title="Manage roles">
    Use **Manage Roles** at the bottom of the list to open Settings.

## Roles in the app today

<Tip>
  The same person can hold several roles (for example Parent and Club Administrator). Always check the identity card before you create a tryout or tournament.
