# Create a tryout

> Create a club tryout campaign, add gym sessions, and publish a public signup link.

Only a **Club Administrator** can create a tryout campaign.

  <Step title="Switch to Club Administrator">
    Confirm the identity card shows Club Administrator and the correct club. Open **Tryouts**.

  <Step title="Start a campaign">
    Click **Create Campaign**. The wizard has four steps: Details, Events, Publish, and Applicants.

  <Step title="Fill in details">
    The campaign is named for your club. Set optional signup open and close dates. Signup close must be on or after signup open.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add gym sessions">
    A published signup needs at least one event. For each session, set start and end times and a gym address. Session name and capacity are optional.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Publish the signup">
    When the campaign and events are ready, click **Publish signup**. Use **Copy public link** to share a URL that athletes and parents can open without signing in.

    The public link looks like `https://app.volleyballoperatingsystem.com/y/{campaign-id}/`. Families see the team list, gym sessions, and athlete form — they do not need an account.

  Signup stays closed until you publish. Athletes who open the link before publish, or outside the open/close window, see that signup is not open.

After people apply, use [Review applicants](/clubs/review-applicants) to set status, send offers, and roster selected athletes.
